What a fun afternoon we had at Jack Cook Park for touch football this afternoon with Toowong Harriers in what turned out to be a terrific social event between our two local athletic communities.
Toowong were camped near the Ashgrove try line for most of the second half but the Green Machine defence somehow held out for a 5 tries to 4 victory to reclaim the historic Wallace Trophy.
I would like to thank everyone who came to participate and spectate from both clubs and in particular Bruce Jones and Ross Anderson from Toowong Harriers for providing the ground and post match BBQ.
The official Trophy Presentation will be made this Saturday at the 60th Anniversary Dinner.
