Training

The club runs multiple training sessions during the week at various locations including the The Gap, Arana Hills and the University of Queensland.

Our coaches are formally qualified and accredited by Athletics Australia and come with years of experience developing athletes to compete at both state and national levels. They are also great at working with beginners to help them kick off their journey with athletics.

Training is for everyone. It does not matter what your fitness level or age, it is all tailored to what works best for you. Parents are also welcomed to join their kids, it’s a great way to get some affordable exercise in at your own pace and ability (but it is of course completely up to you).

Your annual membership of the Ashgrove Rangers lets you attend as many of the training sessions as you would like. The only sessions that are not covered by your membership fee are the ones held at The Gap High on Mondays and Thursdays as the school charges the club an oval hire fee. This cost is only $2 per person per training session (we have a coin/notes bucket you just throw the money in before every session).
