Top work by Athletics North to present a very good round of the SEQ Cross Country Series today at Teralba Park, Mitchelton.
I think this course is actually a lot better to run when it’s wet as it eliminates some of the issues with dry tufty spots that have emerged in the last 15 years on the far flat side of the course.
Prior to that over the years although heavily used the course was always relatively uneventful except for one day in the late eighties when a bunch of horses got loose from a nearby paddock during the Under 14 Girls event.
A competitive Open race with good role models on display, a very talented bunch of up and coming juniors who participated across the age groups and a solid Ashgrove Rangers team performance made it feel like a worthwhile investment of a Saturday afternoon.
A big thanks to everyone who participated and to Queensland Athletics who are doing an excellent job with the series this year.
