Turned out to be quite a nice night in terms of conditions for the State 3k Run and 5k Walk Championships at UQ tonight.

Well done to Katie Bray Silver in the Under 18 5k Walk with 32:52.12.

Brendan Press recorded 8:51.32 for 13th in the Men’s A Grade 3k and Daisy Carter 11:45.92 in the Women’s U20 with Daniel Casey 17th in the Under 20 3k in 9:31.61.

In the Under 18 3k Lara Wannenburgh was 7th in 11:06.79 while Ciaran Barry was 10th in the 4th Heat of Open Men’s with 10:11.46.

Well done team and thanks to Queensland Athletics and UQ for an exciting night of action that kept the crowd interested right through.
